Dr Couch is a mixed-methods researcher with expertise in epidemiology, qualitative methods, and systematic reviews. Her research focuses the health care needs of people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias and their care partners. Among other things, her research has addressed patient and caregiver experiences of diagnostic testing using novel biomarkers and the potential harms and benefits of diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease early, care quality in long-term care settings and issues in advance care planning for end-of-life.
