Krysta Peterson, BA is a dynamic leader and advocate for transformative education and community engagement. With a diverse background spanning roles in healthcare, international service, and arts-based programming, Krysta brings a unique blend of experiences and expertise to her current role as Assistant Director at Opening Minds through Art (OMA), housed within the Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University. Krysta has been committed to building meaningful connections and fostering collaborative initiatives that make a positive impact on individuals and communities. She has spearheaded innovative projects, including the successful implementation of ScrippsAVID—a virtual platform connecting generations through the arts. Her passion for community engagement and inquiry-driven learning has led her to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, from students and volunteers to healthcare professionals and community leaders. Krysta is passionate about leveraging education and creativity to address pressing social challenges.
