Erin Long leads the Administration for Community Living/Administration on Aging’s (AoA) Alzheimer’s Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI) grant program which is dedicated to supporting people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and their caregivers. AoA’s ADPI programs are dedicated to building and expanding dementia-capability across the United States, through culturally competent education and training on a broad range of dementia related issues, as well as the provision of direct services through evidence-based interventions. In addition to being responsible for the planning and development of the programs, she provides programmatic guidance and oversight for all program activities, including the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center, as well as serving as a Federal member of the Nationals Alzheimer’s Project Act Advisory Council on Alzheimer's Research, Care and Services. She holds a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
