Dr. Vivoda is an Associate Professor in the department of Sociology and Gerontology at Miami University in Ohio. He earned his PhD and master’s degree in Health Behavior and Health Education, and his bachelor’s degree in Psychology, all from the University of Michigan. His research interests are related to aging, driving/transportation, the built environment, and health. His research assesses how a variety of factors affect older adults’ decisions about transportation and driving, and how those decisions affect health, quality of life, and social engagement. Dr. Vivoda teaches both undergraduate and graduate-level courses, including an introductory course in gerontology, a course in research methods, and several courses related to data analysis, including graduate-level courses in linear and categorical regression.
