Dr. Herrick is the Director of Healthy Aging at MaineHealth, which is the largest integrated health system in northern New England. She is also the project director for the ACL funded MaineHealth Alzheimer’s Disease Partnership and lead researcher evaluating the virtual translation of the Matter of Balance program. She has a background in healthy aging and disease prevention, health service program evaluation, and public health. She is passionate about disseminating evidence-based approaches to healthcare professionals and organizations so that they can more effectively identify individuals with cognitive impairment and their caregivers and connect them with needed support. Dr. Herrick holds a PhD in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts McCormick School of Public Policy and Global Studies and completed a 2-year NIH funded pre-doctoral clinical research fellowship at the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
