Dr. Christy Nishita is the Director of the University of Hawaii’s Center on Aging. She received her PhD in Gerontology from the University of Southern California in 2004. She has an extensive background in long-term care coordination, caregiving, Alzheimer’s disease support programs, intergenerational programming and age- friendly community development. In taking the leadership role for the University of Hawaii’s Center on Aging, she is organizing a stellar team to strengthen the quality of applied aging research in Hawaii.
