Daniel R Y Gan, PhD, is a social gerontologist. He recently completed a CIHR Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto, Dalla Lana School of Public Health. He served as Founding Convenor of the GSA Community-Engaged Research (CEnR) interest group and studied models and digital solutions for social prescribing with Dr. Kate Mulligan, Scientific Director of the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing.
Daniel holds a joint PhD in Gerontology and Urbanism from the National University of Singapore. He studies environmental influences of cognitive health among diverse older populations and cross-sectoral policies for prevention.
