Dr. Federman is a Professor of Medicine and Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, Director of Research in the Division of General Internal Medicine, and Director of the National Institute on Aging-funded T32 post-doctoral research training program on Disparities in Aging and Dementia. He is also a 2021-2022 Health and Aging Policy Fellow. His research focuses on self-management behaviors among low income and minoritized older adults with complex chronic illness and care delivery models to improve outcomes for these populations. Dr. Federman is a primary care physician in Mount Sinai Hospital’s Internal Medicine Associates practice
