Full Professor at the School of Education of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in the undergraduate and graduate program. Pedagogist (University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany), Theologian (University of Tübingen, Germany), Georontologist (University of Heidelberg, Germany), Master in Education (UFRGS) and Doctor in Philosophy (University of Koblenz-Landau). Coordinator of the CNPQ Research Group “Education and Aging - multiple interfaces”. He researches, publishes and advises in the field of the interface between Education and Aging. Chief Editor of the journal “Interdisciplinary Studies on Aging”, and founding member oft he Center for European and German Studies (CDEA UFRGS/PUCRS).
