Dr. Caroline S. Blaum is an Assistant Vice President at NCQA involved in quality content development and implementation for chronic conditions, complex patients, and home and community-based care. From 2012-20 she was Director of the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care at NYU Langone Health, where she maintained an active clinical practice and an extensive translational research program supported by the NIH, VA, PCORI and several Foundations, concerning disability, frailty, and patient directed care for vulnerable populations. Before 2012, Dr. Blaum was Professor and Assistant Dean for Population Health at the University of Michigan where she led programs in Medicare Advantage, ACO’s and PCMH. Dr. Blaum’s policy experience includes work with the American Geriatrics Society, AMA-PCPI, and NQF.
