I am a health services researcher from Limerick, Ireland working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UTHealth within Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. My research interests surround patient-centered care, behavioral influence on engagement with healthcare, chronic-disease management, telemedicine, digital health and mixed-methods approaches. I am currently working as the Guinee Distinguished Postdoctoral Research Fellow within UTHealth Houston's Department of Management, Policy and Community Health (MPACH) and Institute on Aging. Research conducted as part of my fellowship surrounds Patient Priorities Care (PPC), an established intervention that seeks to help patients and clinicians focus all decision-making and healthcare on patients’ own health priorities. My work involves the design, conduct, analysis and dissemination of trials evaluating the implementation of PPC across primary care, neurology and interventional cardiology settings.
