Yongjing Ping is a PhD candidate in the Health Services and Systems Research program at Duke-NUS Medical School. He studies the effect of informal caregiving on caregiver well-being in long-term care, focusing on how social determinants of health influence physical and mental well-being of informal caregivers. His current work uses a longitudinal cohort study in Singapore, tracking the progression of caregiving experiences and health conditions of informal caregivers and their older care-recipients, aiming to identify proper strategies to alleviate burden and enhance benefits of caregiving over time.
