Dr. Thompson received her PhD in Community and Behavioral Health from the University of Iowa College of Public Health. Her mixed methods research focuses on the application of behavioral health theory into interventions. As a postdoc trainee with Dr. Lewis at the Center for One Health Research, Dr. Thompson is training in the use of qualitative methodology with Alaska Native Elders. Her research interests include disaster management, dementia caregiving, and designing and implementing culturally-adapted interventions.
