Katy is the Senior Vice President of Research at Age Wave where she leads the design and development of thought-leadership studies and oversees research that illuminate how aging, longevity, and retirement shape the marketplace, the workplace, and our lives. Over her past seven years at Age Wave, she has helped to develop over a dozen North America thought-leadership investigations. In addition, Katy works closely with Age Wave’s CEO, Ken Dychtwald, a widely recognized leader in the field of aging and longevity, and other firm leaders in gathering research for numerous keynote presentations, articles, and books.
Recently she co-wrote a piece for the Harvard Business Review titled Redesigning Retirement: Why It’s Time for a New Deal Between Employers and Older Workers. The article is aimed at business leaders to help them understand the massive opportunity of the longevity dividend in the workplace and best practices for recruiting and retaining older workers. She is also currently leading a thought-leadership study regarding Age-Friendly Health Systems on behalf of the John A. Hartford Foundation to influence changemakers to better meet the health and health care needs of older adults.
Katy is interested in the intersection of innovation and health promotion. She expects to receive a Master of Public Health from Old Dominion University in Spring of 2025 and has earned certificates in Innovation & Social Impact in Gerontology from University of Southern California and Product Innovation from Virginia Commonwealth University. She earned her BS in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
