Shutong Huo, MPH (she/her/hers)

Shutong Huo is a Ph.D. candidate in Global Health at the University of California, Irvine, with expertise in health policy, health disparities, and mental health. Shutong holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from Yale University and a Bachelor of Medicine from Shandong University. Her research applies machine learning and quantitative methods to investigate the intersection of social determinants of health and health outcomes. Her recent work focuses on the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and frailty, psychiatric emergency visits in response to societal stressors, and opioid policy interventions.
