Dr. Ariel Green is a geriatrician and Associate Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research, supported by the National Institute on Aging, is evaluating the impact on patient and care partner outcomes of pragmatic interventions to optimize prescribing for older adults with dementia in primary care. She has been recognized with the American Geriatrics Society Junior Investigator of the Year Award and the Choosing Wisely Champion Award for leading efforts to reduce overuse in medicine. A former journalist, Dr. Green has authored essays in national publications including The Washington Post and The New York Times.
