Camryn Hafner, MA, P-RDT is a drama therapist currently working at Bournewood Health Systems Partial Hospitalization Program. In her work, Camryn supports people across the lifespan as they develop creative and effective ways to engage with both their internal and external worlds through a combination of expressive arts therapy and DBT skills. Camryn received her MA in Drama Therapy from New York University in 2024. Her undergraduate background includes degrees in both Communication and English, with additional specializations in Creative Writing, Personal Relations and Social Engagement, and Spanish. Camryn's research interests include the role of profane language in healing, the emergence of AI in a therapeutic space, and how theater can help reduce inequities in all spaces, including healthcare delivery. As such, Camryn is thrilled to be supporting the NYC Health Equity Project as a research assistant. She also consults as a writer and content development specialist at the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine (NICABM).
