Dr. Han is a tenured professor of nursing and public health at the Johns Hopkins University. She previously served as Chair of the department of community public health and Director of the PhD program, and now serves as Associate Dean for Community Programs and Initiatives at the School of Nursing. Dr. Han has served multiple terms on the American Journal of Public Health editorial board while assuming leadership roles including chair and vice chair of the board. She brings expertise in the study of community-based interventions aimed at promoting care and health literacy of chronically ill patients and their families. She has conducted research across the NIH Stage Model from participatory research to focus groups to clinical trials involving diverse people of color.
