Chelsea Hawley, PharmD, MPH is a Geriatrics Research Pharmacist. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She went on to complete two years of post-graduate training at the VA Boston Healthcare System, where she specialized in Geriatric Pharmacy. Following residency, she completed a 3-year post-doctorate Advanced Fellowship in Geriatrics at the New England Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (NEGRECC). During this time she also completed a Master of Public Health with a focus on Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Hawley joined the NEGRECC faculty in 2021 and Boston University School of Medicine in 2022, where she practices as a clinical pharmacist in the Outpatient Geriatrics Consult Clinic at the Bedford VA Medical Center. Her education and scholarship activities focuses on empowering interprofessional audiences to learn, practice, and teach principles of the 4Ms for the Age-Friendly health system. Today, Dr. Hawley will be speaking about her national role with VA as the Director of the Advanced Fellowship in Geriatrics Coordinating Center.
