Laura K.M. Donorfio, PhD, FAGHE, AGHE Vice Chair-Elect, is an Associate Professor at the University of Connecticut in Human Development and Family Sciences. Her research interests include the impact of educational innovation and intergenerational experiential learning, and most recently, how social processes impact the health and well-being of older SGM populations. In 2011 she started AGHE’s first Teaching Institute which is now in its 12th year. She is co-author of the book, The Gerontology Field Placement: Internships and Practicums in Aging (2023, Springer). She was the recipient of the Clark Tibbitts Award (2022).
