Katrina R. Ellis, PhD, MPH, MSW is an associate professor at the School of Social Work at the University of Michigan (primary appointment) and School of Public Health and a facutly associate at the Institute for Social Research. Her research focuses on family management of chronic health conditions and its implications for the design and implementation of health interventions, cancer control and survivorship, and addressing racial and ethnic disparities in health. An overarching goal of her research is to support the health of families facing multiple, coexisting illnesses, with a specific focus on Black Americans. Dr. Ellis employs a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies in her work with families, clinicians and community groups.
