Ann W. Nguyen's, PhD, MSW, MS research broadly investigates psychosocial determinants of mental, physical, and cognitive health and well-being across the life course among Black Americans, with a special focus on mid- and late life. For example, her research has investigated the effects of social relationships (social support, social isolation, loneliness), religious participation, and discrimination on a range of health and well-being outcomes.
