The University of Washington School of Nursing is a hub for innovation in gerontological nursing care, research, and practice. The school has two DNP programs in gerontology, focused on acute care and primary care. It’s home to the de Tornyay Center for Healthy Aging, supporting students in gerontology and faculty doing aging research. To date, the center has funded over 150 students and funded faculty pilot research spanning a diversity of topics ranging from caregiver support to ICU survivors and online support technologies.
