Blair Golden, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Hospital Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She obtained her BA at Yale and her MD at the UNC School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency, chief year, and MS in Health Services and Outcomes Research at Northwestern. Dr. Golden’s research focuses on improving hospital-based care for adults with dementia who are at risk for delirium through improved partnership with family caregivers. She is the recipient of an NIA K23 Career Development Award examining in-hospital communication practices/gaps with regards to delirium superimposed dementia (DSD) in order to develop a patient, caregiver, and clinician-informed communication and engagement care model for DSD identification and prevention. Dr. Golden is a former Butler Williams Scholar and Journal of Hospital Medicine Editorial Fellow. She serves on the Society of Hospital Medicine Research Committee and the Society of General Internal Medicine Academic Hospitalist Commission.
