Giulia Coletta is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Kinesiology, under the supervision of Dr. Stuart Phillips. She engages in many interdisciplinary collaborations that focus on improving and maintaining mobility, sarcopenia, mental health, physical activity, and exercise in older adults. Giulia’s current research explores the benefits of resistance training for older adults living in Hamilton, ON, Canada. Her research interests include maintenance of mobility in old age; sarcopenia; the decline of physical function with age; resistance training; overall quality of life; and connecting with end-users through knowledge translation tools. Giulia aims to encourage more physical activity and exercise in older adults.
