Sarah Bannon, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Bannon received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Stony Brook University and then completed fellowship and served as a Staff Psychologist in the Center for Health Outcomes and Interdisciplinary Research (CHOIR) and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Bannon has clinical and research expertise in couple and family psychology, rehabilitation medicine, and qualitative methods to inform intervention development. She has contributed to the development and delivery of patient-caregiver “dyadic” interventions for acute and chronic neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury and stroke, and her current research is focused on the development of a novel dyadic resiliency intervention for couples following dementia diagnoses.
