Assistant Professor
Rutgers University
San Francisco, California, United States
Hello! I am an incoming Assistant Professor at Rutgers University with support from the National Institute on Aging’s K99-R00 Pathway to Independence Award. I am a sociologist, social epidemiologist, and social work researcher by trainning. My research examines social risk factors for health in the older adult population with long-term care needs and structural determinants of health and health disparities across the life course. My work currently focuses on the pathways linking social factors in the US, such as residential racial segregation and built environment with racial and socioeconomic disparities in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD) prevention, diagnosis, and care. I utilize various large-scale data (e.g., administrative data, EHR, surveys) and apply methods for causal inference to generate actionable evidence for equity-oriented policy and community-level intervention. I am looking for a faculty transition opportunity with my R00 grant support.
