Amanda Lehning, MSW, PhD, is the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. She received a MSW focused on Policy Practice and Advocacy from Bryn Mawr College, and a PhD in Social Welfare from the University of California Berkeley. Dr. Lehning’s research examines the policies, programs, and neighborhood infrastructure that impact the ability of older adults to age in place, with a particular focus on racial and socioeconomic inequities.
