Meshack Wendo Otewa is a dedicated nurse scientist in training with a robust background in behavioral health, social determinants of health, and global health. Currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing Science at the University of Washington, he holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the same institution and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton in Kenya. His research focuses on women's empowerment among adolescent girls and young women in Kenya, particularly its association with the initiation and adherence of PrEP. With extensive experience in academic and clinical settings, Meshack has received multiple scholarships and has been actively involved in various research and teaching roles, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing health equity and improving patient outcomes globally.
