Tiffany Riser is a current PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. As a Nurse Practitioner and Home Based Primary Care Program Director in the Veterans Health Administration, she provided primary care, palliative care and case management for homebound clients and their care partners. She completed her BSN at the University of Pittsburgh and her MSN/MPH at Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Riser is an alumnus of the Health and Aging Policy Fellowship Program, and she currently serves on the Family Caregiver Alliance Board of Directors. Ms. Riser has significant clinical and educational experience as an NP in geriatic home care. These insights serve to guide her dissertation project focused on Long-Term Care for older Veterans. As a T32 Pre-Doctoral trainee in Health Services and Outcomes Research for Older Populations, her research interests include care models to promote the function of older adults aging at home, leveraging the use of social determinants of health data, and assessing access to home and community based services.
