Tiffany Cortes, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and a Physician Investigator at the VA in San Antonio, Texas. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She is active in teaching, clinical care, and research. Dr. Cortes’ research focus is on understanding the relationship between insulin resistance and functional decline in older adults, and interventions to address metabolic dysfunction in older adults. She is currently studying how GLP1 Receptor agonists effects physical function, body composition and biomarkers of aging in older adults.
