James S Westcott, MPA, MMA (Jim) is currently working with the University of Colorado/Anschutz Medical Campus, and the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Center where he is enrolling Veterans in clinical field trials. Jim is recognized as an experienced leader who is acknowledged for being politically savvy, able to navigate in tricky situations, build relationships, and make a difference for the people and communities. Jim’s managerial experiences have spanned a range from smaller community-based revitalization programs to the statewide Medicaid Demonstration Project to teaching at the University of Minnesota to working as a consultant for a major health care plan. Several times in his career, others have called upon Jim to lead and serve on “blue ribbon” committees to examine, analyze, and implement challenging and innovative strategies. As a lifelong learner, Jim graduated from two public institutions: University of Minnesota (BSB), and Metropolitan State University (MMA); graduated from Harvard University (MPA); and most recently, earned health navigator (HN) and Older Adult Research Specialist (OARS) certificates from the University of Colorado, Multidisciplinary Center on Aging.
