JOANN M. MONTEPARE, PhD, FGSA, FAGHE (Social-Developmental Psychology, Brandeis University) is Professor Emerita of Psychology at Lasell University and Faculty Fellow in the Gerontology Department and Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her research explores life-span issues with attention to age-related social attitudes and self-experiences of aging. She is an advocate of intergenerational teaching and learning and a champion of advancing age inclusivity in higher education through efforts such as the Age Inclusivity Domains of Higher Education (AIDHE) initiative and the Age-Friendly University (AFU) global network. She has served as the chair of AGHE and presently chairs the GSA-AGHE Age Inclusivity in Higher Education (AIHE) Workgroup and serves as its Newsletter editor. She is also a member of APA's Committee on Aging (CONA).
