Karen is a Professor of Nursing at the University of Leeds (UK). She is Academic Director for an innovative partnership between long term care organisations and academia (https://niche.leeds.ac.uk/). She leads a portfolio of policy and practice relevant research in the areas of care for older people and workforce. She is a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Senior Investigator (https://www.nihr.ac.uk/explore-nihr/academy-programmes/senior-investigators.htm). She is committed to innovative engagement with stakeholders (including policy makers, providers, commissioners, practitioners, regulators and the public) to ensure her research addresses societally important areas and that any outputs are widely accessible.
