Isabel Margot-Cattin is an Associate Professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland, in the occupational therapy division. She has a PhD in Medical Sciences from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. She is interested in relationships between the environment and occupations, disability studies, older adults with dementia, universal design, and occupational science. Her research activities focus on community mobility, driving and mobility transitions for people with a disability or older adults. She is exploring mobility and participation in activities outside home. With the support of an international research team, she has developed a questionnaire enabling the mapping of places and activities that people visit and do outside home, in French, English, Swedish, German, and Finnish.
Currently, she is involved in multiple research projects about community mobility in local, national and international contexts.
