Dr. Pomeroy is an NIH-funded research fellow at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her overarching research goal is to support aging in place for older adults with limited social connections. Currently, Dr. Pomeroy is examining health care utilization and social service use by socially isolated older adults with and without dementia. Additionally, Dr. Pomeroy studies home and community-based services as a mechanism to enhance social connection. She works with variety of at-risk, underrepresented populations including individuals living with disabilities, veterans, and subsidized housing residents. Dr. Pomeroy received her master’s in public health from Johns Hopkins University in 2017 and her PhD in health services research from George Mason University in 2022. She is an active member of several professional organizations including AcademyHealth and the Gerontological Society of America. Her research is supported by the National Institute on Aging’s Epidemiology and Biostatistics of Aging T32 Fellowship program.
