Yiwei is a DPhil student at the Big Data Institute and Nuffield Department of Population Health at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on investigating the associations between sleep disturbances and dementia in prospective cohorts.
Prior to joining the Translational Epidemiology Unit in 2024, Yiwei worked as a data analyst at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. During her time there, her research focused on sleep health, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and cardiometabolic disorders.
Yiwei earned her Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2022. Before transitioning to public health research, Yiwei practiced as a general internal physician at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in China. Yiwei obtained her medical degree from Zhengzhou University School of Medicine in 2019.
