Dr. Emily Bower is an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Psychology PhD Program at Pacific University. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the SDSU/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the VA Advanced Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Veteran Mental Health and Suicide. Dr. Bower’s research and clinical interests are in geriatric mental health with focuses on suicide prevention, anxiety, and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Her research examines how older adults adjust to functional changes to inform the development of behavioral interventions to promote mental health and prevent injury.
