Laura Xicota is an Associate Research Scientist at Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She did her PhD in Barcelona, IMIM Hospital del Mar Research Institute, followed by a postdoctoral postdoctoral period in the Paris Brain Institute, before moving to Columbia to continue her research career. Her research focuses on risk factors for Alzheimer's disease in the general population and individuals with Down syndrome, with a special interest in resilience factors. She has been trained in experimental and computational biology, with particular focus on multiomics analyses.
