I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine & Geriatrics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC). I have over 20 years of experience with a broad range of applied consulting and research projects utilizing my background in organizational psychology and experience with evaluation, program design, process improvement, and survey development and implementation. My research has focused on evaluation, workforce development, college and graduate school admissions, and ways to increase satisfaction and retention in school. I currently lead the development of evaluation tools and federal performance reporting for the HRSA Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program at UNTHSC. In addition, I am the Co-Director for the Geriatric Practice Leadership Institute, an HHSC Innovation in Aging awarded program that trains interdisciplinary teams to determine and address organizational gaps in geriatrics care through needs assessment and quality improvement projects. I have applied experience in leadership development, coaching, and mentoring services for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as working professionals through my leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, Empowered U and SoFi. I am also actively involved in the community and have served on the FWISD Innovation Board, FWISD District Advisory Board, Big Brother Big Sister Advisory Team, Fort Worth Academy Board, and I was a graduate of the Tarrant County Inaugural class of Leadership ISD, a program that empowers communities and school leaders to create a more equitable education system that effectively serves all children.
